My Second Story Called: The Blood Stained Walls

Hello everyone! Here’s my second story. I used a story starter for this story. The story starter is: “It was there and then it had gone, why would a rabbit be on my bathroom floor?” I got this story starter from: The Literacy Shed. Enjoy!

It was there and then it had gone, “Why would a rabbit be on my bathroom floor?” Justin wondered as he saw a figure that resembled a rabbit. It was just lying there, motionless. It was 4:00 a.m. in the morning and a loud noise woke Justin up. It came from the bathroom and Justin didn’t suspect it being a burglar considering he lived in a log cabin in the woods. There was no one around for miles. However, there were a lot of animals around. Blurry eyed and tired, Justin got up and investigated his bathroom. When Justin saw the rabbit laying there motionless he assumed that the rabbit had mad all the noise. “Is it not moving because it hurt itself?” Justin thought to himself. Justin turned on the lightswitch to see the rabbit’s stomach open and blood all over his bathroom. The blood was splattered on the walls, sink, and the toilet. Horrified, Justin took a couple steps back and caught his breath. “Who could’ve done this? There’s no one around for miles. Unless, it was an animal…” Justin turned on his bedroom light and looked around his bedroom for any signs for an animal. Justin didn’t find anything and made his way to the living room. Justin reached for the living room light switch and turned it on. The switch was covered in something, a liquid of some sort. Justin looked at his hand to see that it was blood. Justin looked around his living room to see blood splattered everywhere. “What is happening? I should call the police..” Justin thought. Justin saw the source of the blood. It was a dead racoon, it’s stomach was opened just like the rabbits. Justin ran to his kitchen and found the house phone broken off the wall and tore apart. What horrified Justin even more was the hole in the kitchen’s wall. An adult human wouldn’t have been able to fit through the wall. However, a wolf would be able to. Justin figured this out, he also figured out that a wolf wouldn’t have been able to tear a hole in his wale. Justin returned to his living room to find the racoon body gone. There was a trail of blood, where the racoon use to be, leading to the basement. Living in this house for 3 years, Justin barely went down in his basement. The basement was located in the garage of the house. The basement had a metal door that was very different from the rest of the house. The metal dor had a hole in it just like the kitchen wall did. Justin opened the meal door and turned on the lights. The trail of blood carried on down the steps into the basement. As Justin went down further into the basement he heard a chewing sound that sounded very disturbing. Justin made it into the basement and saw something that changed his life forever. He saw some sort of black wolf eating the racoon. Justin was frozen and couldn’t move. His mind was blank. The wolf stopped eating and turned around at Justin. It’s face and teeth were covered in blood. It growled at Justin and the lights started flickering. Justin let out a scream and the lights went off. The lights came right on a millisecond after the lights went off. Justin and the wolf were gone. The house was vacant. That is the tragic story on how Justin Thompson went missing. The end.

First story called: The White Mask

This is my first of many stories on the blog. This story started with a sentence starter that I got from: The Literacy Shed. The sentence starter is: “Wrapped up warm against the icy fingers of dusk, the caretaker closed the cemetery gates, who was that watching him?” Now, here’s the story, enjoy!

Wrapped up warm against the icy fingers of dusk, the caretaker closed the cemetery gates, who was that watching him? Jeremy (the caretaker) thought he had seen a face through the fog. The face looked like it was wearing a white mask. Yet, Jeremy knew no one was there; he had just finished doing his nightly patrol around the cemetery. Jeremy locked the gate and grabbed his keys, assuming he was seeing things. He shivered while trotting in the snow, looking behind him one last time. He saw no one. He decided he hadn’t seen anyone in the fog and got in his car. He started his car and looked up at the church that he worked for. He was hired by the church to watch the cemetery at night to make sure no one broke in and “messed around.” Jeremy found it strange how the church had told him this and the two months he’s been working there he hadn’t found any teenagers in the cemetery. Just then, all the street lights started flickering on and off repeatedly. Suddenly, there was a loud crash coming from the church and all the street lights turned off. A chill went down Jeremy’s spine. Jeremy was ready to just leave because he was frightened by everything that had just happened in the last twenty seconds. However, curiosity took over Jeremy and he turned off his car. He grabbed his flashlight and the keys, stepped out his door, and looked up at the church. The church had always creeped him out at night but, he still put the keys into the lock and unlocked the door. Jeremy opened the door slowly and pointed the flashlight all around the church to see what made all the noise. The church was like every other church with rows of seats that had a space in between, a pathway that leads from the door to the priest’s post, and usually a cross behind the priest’s post. However, the cross had fallen over and caused all that crashing sound. Jeremy looked around and saw no one in the church. Then, something caught Jeremy’s eyes, it was sitting on the priest’s post. Jeremy walked up to the object and saw that it was a white mask. Again, Jeremy looked around the church, “Is this a prank?” Jeremy thought to himself. All of a sudden Jeremy heard faint whispers, he couldn’t make them out. Jeremy got goosebumps and decided he shouldn’t deal with this and was going to call the police. He reached in his pocket for his phone when he realized it was in is car. Jeremy started toward the door when they slammed closed. Jeremy froze and the whispers were getting louder. Jeremy’s flashlight started flickering until it stopped working. He was completely in the dark. The whispers stopped. “Hello?” Jeremy called out looking around. “This isn’t funny! I’m calling the police!” Jeremy said terrified. Then, there was one clear whisper, “Put on the mask..” All went black after that. Jeremy woke up on his couch drained in sweat. Jeremy looked around still terrified. He was in his house and it was bright day out. Jeremy knew something was wrong. “That dream couldn’t have been fake, it was too real.” Jeremy stood up, he was still wearing the same thing he was in the “dream”. Jeremy went outside and it was very sunny. “This can’t be right, it’s the middle of December.” Jeremy said to himself. He looked down and was petrified. The neighborhood was busy, filled with adults and children. However, all the people were all wearing white masks. They all suddenly stopped in there tracks and stared at Jeremy. One man from the crowd came up to Jeremy and handed him the mask. The man nodded and Jeremy looked down at the white mask. When Jeremy looked up everyone was gone. His surroundings changed, he was now in a black abyss. It was just him and the white mask. The End.
