Hello everyone! Here’s my second story. I used a story starter for this story. The story starter is: “It was there and then it had gone, why would a rabbit be on my bathroom floor?” I got this story starter from: The Literacy Shed. Enjoy!
It was there and then it had gone, “Why would a rabbit be on my bathroom floor?” Justin wondered as he saw a figure that resembled a rabbit. It was just lying there, motionless. It was 4:00 a.m. in the morning and a loud noise woke Justin up. It came from the bathroom and Justin didn’t suspect it being a burglar considering he lived in a log cabin in the woods. There was no one around for miles. However, there were a lot of animals around. Blurry eyed and tired, Justin got up and investigated his bathroom. When Justin saw the rabbit laying there motionless he assumed that the rabbit had mad all the noise. “Is it not moving because it hurt itself?” Justin thought to himself. Justin turned on the lightswitch to see the rabbit’s stomach open and blood all over his bathroom. The blood was splattered on the walls, sink, and the toilet. Horrified, Justin took a couple steps back and caught his breath. “Who could’ve done this? There’s no one around for miles. Unless, it was an animal…” Justin turned on his bedroom light and looked around his bedroom for any signs for an animal. Justin didn’t find anything and made his way to the living room. Justin reached for the living room light switch and turned it on. The switch was covered in something, a liquid of some sort. Justin looked at his hand to see that it was blood. Justin looked around his living room to see blood splattered everywhere. “What is happening? I should call the police..” Justin thought. Justin saw the source of the blood. It was a dead racoon, it’s stomach was opened just like the rabbits. Justin ran to his kitchen and found the house phone broken off the wall and tore apart. What horrified Justin even more was the hole in the kitchen’s wall. An adult human wouldn’t have been able to fit through the wall. However, a wolf would be able to. Justin figured this out, he also figured out that a wolf wouldn’t have been able to tear a hole in his wale. Justin returned to his living room to find the racoon body gone. There was a trail of blood, where the racoon use to be, leading to the basement. Living in this house for 3 years, Justin barely went down in his basement. The basement was located in the garage of the house. The basement had a metal door that was very different from the rest of the house. The metal dor had a hole in it just like the kitchen wall did. Justin opened the meal door and turned on the lights. The trail of blood carried on down the steps into the basement. As Justin went down further into the basement he heard a chewing sound that sounded very disturbing. Justin made it into the basement and saw something that changed his life forever. He saw some sort of black wolf eating the racoon. Justin was frozen and couldn’t move. His mind was blank. The wolf stopped eating and turned around at Justin. It’s face and teeth were covered in blood. It growled at Justin and the lights started flickering. Justin let out a scream and the lights went off. The lights came right on a millisecond after the lights went off. Justin and the wolf were gone. The house was vacant. That is the tragic story on how Justin Thompson went missing. The end.
Hope you enjoyed. I appreciate feedback. Bye!
